This Privacy Policy describes how ReadEasy ("the App", "we", "our", or "us") handles your information when you use our iOS application.

1. Information We Collect

We design ReadEasy to process your content locally on your device whenever possible. The App does not require user account registration or login.

• User-provided content: text and articles you add to the App. This content is stored on your device.
• Subscription data: purchase and renewal information is processed by Apple via StoreKit. We may receive subscription status and related identifiers through our subscription management provider (Adapty) to unlock premium features and restore purchases.
• Device and diagnostics data: limited technical information needed for crash reporting (for example, device model, OS version, and crash logs) via Firebase Crashlytics.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide core reading and text-formatting functionality.
• To manage subscriptions, verify entitlement, and restore purchases.
• To maintain app reliability, diagnose crashes, and fix bugs.

3. Data Storage and Processing

• Your reading content is primarily stored on your device.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use your content for advertising profiling.
• We do not use your reading content to train AI models or send it to third-party AI services.

4. Third-Party Services

To deliver the App, we use the following third-party services. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

• Apple App Store / StoreKit: processes payments and subscription billing through your Apple ID. See Apple’s Privacy Policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
• Adapty: subscription management platform used to load offerings, check premium access, and support purchase/restore flows. Payments are still processed by Apple. See Adapty’s Privacy Policy at https://adapty.io/privacy/.
• Firebase (Google):
  • Firebase Crashlytics — crash reporting and diagnostics.
  • Firebase Hosting — hosts this Privacy Policy and related legal pages.

The App does not use Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Messaging, or Firebase Analytics for core functionality.

5. Data Retention

Data you create in the App remains available on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Transaction records related to subscriptions are retained by Apple under Apple's policies. Crash reports retained by Firebase Crashlytics are kept according to Google’s retention practices for that service.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. For App-related data stored locally, you can remove content directly in the App or by uninstalling it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
